LIT: Lawyers in Training is a five-week basic law curriculum for high school students in New York City (ages 14-18). Participants learn about the U.S. judicial system, engage in research case presentations, and conduct mock trials where they act as judges, juries, prosecutors, and defense attorneys. The Program is taught by its Founder Judge Kathleen Waterman-Marshall, Supreme Court, New York County, Sean Farrow, Esq., Attorneys, and Judges from the New York State Unified Court System. The program is sponsored by NYC For Youth, LIT, and the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, who provided the space and program support.
